The Ultimate Room-by-Room Deep Cleaning Checklist (Print This!)

Intro:
We all know the feeling. You look around and realize you’ve been doing the “surface swipe” for months. The baseboards are dusty, the light fixtures are dim, and you can’t remember the last time you moved the couch.

Deep cleaning doesn’t have to be a dreaded weekend-long event. Whether you are prepping for Spring, recovering from the holidays, or just getting your sanity back, use this checklist to tackle your home like a pro.

The Checklist:

1. The Kitchen (The Grease Zone)

  • Appliances: Clean the inside of the microwave, oven, and fridge. Don’t forget to pull the fridge out to vacuum the coils.
  • The Sink: Sprinkle baking soda on a lemon half to scrub the basin and disposal.
  • Details: Wipe down cabinet fronts, handles, and light switches. Descale the coffee maker.

2. The Bathroom (The Grime Zone)

  • Shower: Remove soap scum from glass doors. Soak showerheads in vinegar to remove mineral buildup.
  • Grout: Scrub grout lines with a stiff brush.
  • Vents: Remove the exhaust fan cover and wash it in the dishwasher (yes, really!).

3. Living Areas & Bedrooms (The Dust Zone)

  • High & Low: Dust ceiling fans, crown molding, window blinds, and baseboards.
  • Mattresses: Vacuum your mattress and sprinkle with baking soda before vacuuming again to remove odors.
  • Windows: Wash the inside AND outside of the glass. Wipe down window sills and tracks.

Pro Tip: Don’t burn out trying to do this in one day. Pick 3 tasks per evening, or leave it to the experts. [Book a one-time deep clean with us here] and skip the elbow grease entirely.
